CfP SWAT4LS thematic series in the Journal of Biomedical Semantics

Dear SWAT4LS friends,

We are inviting all SWAT4LS 2015 participants who presented their research at the conference (papers, posters, demos) to submit an extended version of their work to the “Semantic technologies in health care and life sciences” series in the Journal of Biomedical Semantics (JBMS).

This thematic series focuses on the application of web based technologies for knowledge representation, data integration, analysis and visualisation in health care and the life sciences in support of biomedical research and health care practice. It covers research presented at SWAT4LS (Semantic Web Applications and Tools for Life Sciences) workshops/conferences held annually in Europe and offers an opportunity for an in-depth presentation of your scientific results and to reach a wider audience. Examples of previous JBMS thematic series publications, including for SWAT4LS, can be found on the JBMS collections web pages.

Submissions should be sent following the Journal of Biomedical Semantics submission process, by May 15th, 2016,  quoting the mentioned series and conference year in the cover letter. All submission will undergo a full peer-review process.
Articles accepted for publications are eligible for 20% publication fee reduction (please enter the code: swat4Ls2016).

We would welcome a notification of the intention to submit by March 31st, 2016.

Thank you,
the SWAT4LS organizers

  1. What about writing up hacks from the hackathon? Can they make it into the special issue? I can live without the discount, I guess...
